A/B testing tool implementation and SEO

I’ve been going back and forth with my SEO technical team about how best to install the code for our A/B testing tool without negatively impacted SEO. And at the same time avoiding the dreaded “flicker”. I’ve been googling but would appreciate if anyone has any first hand tips on how best to do this.
