Choose a comparison method that suits your products: Select and compare, Filter method, or a Standalone table.

  • Select and compare enables customers to select two or more items from the product listing and click the Compare button for more information. Use this for technical products. For example, where the buying decision can be influenced by a particular feature or set of features.
  • The filter method works by the system of elimination. Advanced filters eliminate all items that don’t match the search criteria. In apparel shopping, users can opt to view only clothing in black color and size M, for example. Every product that isn’t listed as black and doesn’t come in medium size will be removed from the results.
  • The standalone table is a dedicated landing page. Use this option if you offer a few items that come in basic and premium versions for example.

Include a sticky bar that lists the items added to the comparison tool.

Include Compare and Add to cart CTAs on every product and ensure all CTAs for product comparisons are clearly visible and easy to find.

Make sure that the Add to cart CTA is more prominent.

Include a Close or Back to results button to allow users to continue shopping.

Include high-quality product images in all comparison tables that remain clear when zoomed in or out.

Use the same product names and codes, and avoid empty cells in the comparison tool to stay consistent on your comparison pages.

Show product ratings and the number of reviews for social proof.
